((this is planed!!))
Midori was sitting at the base of a tree. sitting there she thought about her people, and how she wished one of her kind were here with her, because no one here seemed to understand her.
Aaric was walking by and he saw Midori all by herself so he quietly walked up to her (he's an elf they walk silently) and said, "Hello, miss. A nice day, yes?"
"very" Midori answered, she didn't turn her head just looked at the sky. "Your a Elf." she stated plain and simple, she knew with out even looking.
He chuckled, his gaze going to the sky. "How could you tell?"
Midori smiled, i can tell what you are but you can't tell what i am? " she inquired. "interesting. Give you one guess."
He lets his gaze mozy back to her and it stays for but a second. "You, miss, are a draconic hybrid. Am I right?"
"Yes." Midori stood up and turned to face Aaric. "Midori." she stated. "And yes, I'm am both human and Dragon"
He held out his hand so he could shake hers. "Aaric Brant. And as you've already stated, I'm an elf. A pleasure to meet you, Midori."
"like wise" she said taking his hand and bowing her head in the Dragonic manor. "so what brings an elf out of his city?"
"I've returned to my old school in the hopes of teaching. And what of you?" he asked, bowing from the waist.
"I've returned to my old school in the hopes of teaching. And what of you?" she asked, bowing from the waist.
"It seems to me that you could learn their history and how they lived. And other useful things like how to make potions and the like." he said, nodding sagely.
Midori sighed. "You don't understand....People THINK I'm a human, the expect me to already know all of that stuff. Every where i have been i have been laughed at because of my ignorance...Me a Dragon!!! Laughed at....." Midori shook her head. "I'm sorry...theses are my problems not yours"
"Well that is why you are here. To learn about what all people would laugh at you for not knowing. Many people here have no clue about what they will be learning. So, don't worry about it. Learn what you can to the best of your ability and then you may laugh at them." he said, crossing his arms and leaning against the tree. "And I do not mind hearing about your problems. That's what teachers are for. Other than teaching of course."
Midori smiled. she got what he was saying and it made her fell a lot better that what she did.
He returned her smile. "Just to be nosey, but what classes will you be taking, Mistress Dragon." *Just so you know he means it as a title of respect. Like the Japanese "-sama" or "-san"*
"well let's see..." she said counting off her fingers. "Combat, General Defense, and magic....i need to learn how to fight and use my magic, so I'm taking those classes." she answered.
why does he even want to know? she thought. why is it that he would even CARE? i mean i know elves are a kind race but..
He chuckled and smiled at her. "I want to know so that I can warn you that my class will be a lot akin to Combat. I do not want anyones tempers to end frequently because it is such. Oh and I care because you seem like a good person."
Midori laughed out loud, smiling once she had stopped. "Of course you would be able to read minds. "she answered. "i should be careful as to what i think around you" she informed him. smiling the whole time, she was beginning to like this elf, there was something about him that made her want to know more about him.
He grinned. "Yeah. With those powers and my red eyes, I can be a formidable person. People tend to be more careful around me anyway."
Midori smiled and looked into Aaric's eyes. why am i drawn into them she thought subconsciously. she didn't know what else to say so she said nothing at all. sometimes silence was how you understood things.
His left eye twinged a bit, fading to red then back to grey in a slow few seconds. "What do you want to know?" he asked, his voice slightly somber.
Midori blushed. she came o realize what was going on. she liked this guy...REALLY liked him, she turned even redder, "I don't want to know anything." she said. walk away she told her body but it wouldn't respond she was attracted to this elf this eyes drew her in and wouldn't let go. why is my heart beating so fast she thought dam*it she tried to put up a few barriers but in her hast made them kinda sloppily. it was then that she got a whiff of something. what's that smell? she looked around wait! she thought is this the place i flew over that i smelled Dragons Bane! she smell got stronger, as the wind blew towrds them. "Aaric...what...it's dragons...bane...."she then passed out
