"Something I like?" Akiyama's eyes widend for a split second. No one really asked her that, mostly because she was man to everyone she knew. She looked at her feet and tried to think of something she liked. Her mind drew blank. Instead of just saying she ouldn't think of anything her head shot up. "And what happens if I tell you?" she asked, avoiding the qustion.

He was a bit shocked at her thoughts but didn't let it show through to his expression. He merely took out one of his chunks of silver, holding it up for her to see. "I was going to fashion this into a sculpture for you."

"Thats pretty neat. Can you make a. . ." Akiyama tried to think of something hard to say. "A mutated ant?"

"Mutated in what way?" he asked, frowning the tiniest bit. He brought his hands together, crushing the silver. After he was done working with it, an ant that stood on only four legs and had crab like pincers for the front two legs stood in his palm. "Like this?"

Akiyama pouted. Maybe that was too easy. she thought. "It good. How about a goat-dragon?"" she asked, trying to guess something that maybe he couldn't do.

"Ah. A goat-dragon.." he said, looking at the ant for a bit. He smushed the silver again, then worked on it for a bit more than last time. When he was done the figurine was now a goat with scales, dragon wings and a dragon tail. There was even fire coming out its mouth.

"How'd you do that?" Akiyama asked, now very curious. "Are you using magic or something?"

Aaric smiled up at her again and let his hand drop away from the figurine. It stayed exactly where it was. Until it floated up to Akiyama's eye level. Once it was there, it became animated the fire going in and out of it, the torso moving as though it was breathing.

Akiyama stared at the figure in pure amazment. It was like she was captured by its beauty. The way it look so real and the way it moved all by itself. Maybe the metal was magic not the guy. Speaking of the guy, she still didn't know his name yet. "Is it really alive?"

"I can make it so it stays that way. And pardon me for not introducing myself earlier." he said, pushing off the branch, standing. He gave Akiyama a low bow. "My name is Aaric Brant, instructor of General Defense. A please to meet you." The goat-dragon figurine stopped breathing fire and bowed it's head just as Aaric bowed.

'Instructor!? Oops. Should have been much nicer.' Akiyama thought giving a bow as well. "The pleasure is all mine Mr. Aaric." How could she be such a fool? The first thing she did to this guy was poke him! She would have to be much more careful from now on.

He waved his hand. Not at her at her thoughts. "It matters not to me what you did, Miss Akiyama. I will hold no grudge or prejudice against you whatsoever. So do not worry." The little figurine went over to her and landed on her shoulder, sitting down on it's haunches. Aaric looked over at it. "It seems the little one likes you."

"Wa-wait! How did you know what I was thinking?" Akiyama asked, a bit surprised. She looked at the goat-dragon thing on her shoulder and smiled.

"I thought you had noticed that by now. Well aside from working with metals, I happen to be very strong with psionic magics. I am a telepath." he said, leaning up against the trunk of the tree. "It is not that uncommon among my race actually."

"Oh, I hadn't noticed." Akiyama felt embarassed that she didn't catch on to something so easy. "What race do you belong to?"
